Construction centers on 7/8-inch thick worksurfaces and 3/4-inch thick end and modesty panels finished in thermally fused melamine, a hardwearing, scratch-resistant surface built for daily business use. All exposed edges are protected with 3 millimeter PVC edge banding that matches the laminate finish and helps guard against bumps and impact. Drawer fronts are built from 5/8-inch thick thermally fused melamine, while the drawer boxes use 1/2-inch black vinyl board with a 1/8-inch bottom panel for a clean interior. Reinforced metal brackets integrated into the desk shell add structural stability under sustained workloads. Metal cam locks and connecting pins support durability, and integrated wire management grommets route cables through the desktop to keep the workspace organized. The pedestal uses 3/4-extension ball bearing slides on the box drawer and full-extension slides on the file drawer, with soft-close drawer suspension standard on all drawers for quiet closing.
The hanging pedestal includes one box drawer and one file drawer, with filing bars included for both front-to-back letter and side-to-side legal hanging files. Because it mounts to the underside of the desk shell, the floor space below remains open and easy to access. Adjustable leveling glides provide up to 1/2-inch of height compensation for uneven floors.
