  • Description

The reference books stacked beside your work area are taking up the same surface you need for notes, instruments, and active lab work. A book compartment table gives that activity a dedicated place to sit without asking your primary table to carry every open reference at once. In a science or laboratory setting, that distinction matters when multiple people share tables and materials move between experiments. You can keep reference volumes within the table's book compartments while preserving the top for the work immediately in front of you. This is a furniture choice tied to how your staff actually uses its workspace, rather than another surface that becomes storage by default.

The table measures 60 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 30 inches high overall. Its top is constructed with plastic laminate. The legs and aprons are constructed of solid red oak, smoothly machined, and finished with acrylic finish. The book compartment aprons are constructed of solid oak and measure 13/16-inch deep by 4 1/2-inch high. Heavy 13 gauge steel corner braces connect those apron components. Each book compartment measures 14 1/4-inch wide by 3 7/8-inch high by 12 3/4-inch deep, giving you specified dimensions for planning the books and materials that will be stored there. The legs measure 2 1/4 inches square and have 5/16-inch hanger bolts installed. Nuts and washers are supplied for attaching the legs to the apron. The table has a weight capacity of 500 pounds.

For day-to-day placement, the 60-inch wide by 24-inch deep footprint gives you a clearly measured table size for coordinating rows, equipment, and walkways in your room plan. Non-skid adjustable glides let you level the table, while rubber leg boots cover the bottoms of the legs. The tops are screwed to the tables at the factory. In practical terms, your team gets a work surface with book compartments sized for reference storage, a plastic laminate top, solid red oak legs and aprons, and acrylic finish on the smoothly machined legs and aprons. If you are furnishing several science or laboratory tables, call for quantity discounts and plan the tables around the dimensions your room can accommodate. PLEASE CALL FOR QUANTITY DISCOUNTS
